American Idol (season 15)
The fifteenth season of the music reality competition series ''American Idol'', also known as ''American Idol XV'' and ''American Idol: The Farewell Season'', will be the final season of the series, and is set to premiere on January 6, 2016. Ryan Seacrest continues his role as host, while Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. all returned as judges. All former judges, including the original panel that consisted of Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson are all confirmed to make an appearance sometime in the season.

The American Idol "Audition Bus Tour" visited the cities of: Seattle, Washington; Providence, Rhode Island; Baltimore, Maryland; San Diego, California; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Tucson, Arizona; Indianapolis, Indiana; Santa Fe, New Mexico; Athens, Georgia; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Oxford, Massachusetts.〔 Audition is also held at Wilmington, North Carolina.
''American Idol'' also partnered with bBooth to allow people to audition in Culver City, California and Nashville, Tennessee, as well as StarMaker Interactive to allow audition video to be submitted on their website.
Kanye West made a surprise appearance at the audition in San Francisco as an auditioner where he performed "Gold Digger".
